CANADA
Pre-arrival Review System (PARS)
PARS is a release system that helps Fyke Logistics arrange for Customs to review your shipment prior to the shipment crossing the border.
Once you have supplied us with the clearance documentation (either by fax, email or other electronic method) the Fyke Logistics Customs team will submit an electronic or manual release to Canada Customs referencing the barcode we have attached and all other required release information. Upon arrival at the border our driver gives the original PARS bar-coded documents to Canada Customs.
If there are no questions or need to examine the shipment, Customs will release the shipment for delivery.
Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) release and ACROSS
Your Fyke Logistics Customs Team uses EDI to electronically transmit your release data, including invoice information, to the Accelerated Commercial Release Operations Support System (ACROSS). A CBSA officer reviews the information and transmits the release decision back to Fyke Logistics.
UNITED STATES
Border Cargo Selectivity (BCS)
Fyke Logistics will submit your shipment to US Customs using an Inward Cargo Manifest. The manifest and commercial invoice (along with any other required documents) are used by Fyke Logistics to clear your goods. Information is reviewed by our Fyke Customs Brokerage Team who prepares the release package for US customs. Fyke Logistics then delivers the paperwork for submission to US Customs. Your paperwork is then matched against the information submitted by the Fyke Customs Team. If there are no questions or need to examine the shipment, Customs will release the shipment for delivery.
Pre-Arrival Processing System (PAPS)
PAPS is a release system that helps Fyke Logistics arrange for an advance customs review and clearance prior to the shipment crossing the border.
Once you have supplied us with the clearance documentation (either by fax, email or other electronic method) the Fyke Logistics Customs team will submit an electronic or manual release to US Customs referencing the barcode we have attached and all other required release information. Upon arrival at the border our driver gives the original PAPS bar-coded document to US Customs.
If there are no questions or need to examine the shipment, Customs will release the shipment for delivery.
Line Release
This release process is designed for low risk and bulk commodities. To qualify for Line Release Fyke Logistics can submit an application to US Customs on your behalf.
Once the approval is received from US Customs, The Fyke Logistics Customs Team generates and supplies you with barcodes for future shipments. You simply attach the barcode to the top right hand corner of the commercial invoice for your shipment.
Once at the border Fyke Logistics will submit the bar coded documents to US Customs. If there are no questions or need to examine the shipment, Customs will release the shipment for delivery
Automated Manifest System (AMS)
Once you have supplied us with the clearance documentation (either by fax, email or other electronic method) the Fyke Logistics Customs Team will submit an electronic release to US Customs who will review the electronic release information and release the merchandise electronically. Fyke Logistics (both our transportation and Customs Teams) are notified by US Customs of shipments to be held for inspection. Shipments will be released once U. S. Customs’ or other government agency (if applicable) requirements are met.
Electronic Truck Manifest System (ACE)
This new portal brings together US Customs & Border Protection, importers, carriers, brokers and other government agencies into one portal and gives all parties visibility into the clearance process and provides you with an electronic authorization of release prior to arrival at the point of entry. Once you have supplied us with the clearance documentation (either by fax, email or other electronic method) the Fyke Logistics Customs Team will submit an electronic release to US Customs who will review the electronic release information and release the merchandise electronically. Upon arrival of our truck, those shipments not released due to a pending examination by U. S. Customs or other government agency requirements are held. Shipments will be released once U. S. Customs’ or other government agency (if applicable) requirements are met.
